Rutherford Hotel Nelson is centrally located, only a two minute walk from city centre. The hotel has two restaurants - Miyazu Restaurant (an authentic Japanese restaurant) and Oceano Restaurant (a-la-carte Seafood restaurant) a house bar and a cafe. The hotel also has a 24 hour reception, fitness centre, sauna & outdoor pool.

７階の部屋に２泊したが、快適に過ごせた。フロントの対応もよかった。駐車場からのアクセスが悪く（少し遠回りするだけといえばそれまでだが）、部屋に荷物を運び入れるのに苦労した。

ホテルは場所も良く、設備も特に問題なく、ツアーの扱いもかなり遅い時間までやってくれて、便利でした。２Fの日本料理店の寿司カウンターはしっかりした日本人の板前さんが握っていて、量や味の割りに値段も手ごろで良かったです。
